Darren M. Pylot
Position: President & CEO and Director

Darren Pylot is the founder of Capstone Mining Corp and in 2006 created Silverstone Resources Corp. He formerly served as President and Chief Executive Officer for Silverstone prior to its sale to Silver Wheaton in 2009. He was responsible for bringing Capstone's Cozamin base metal mine into production, and under his leadership the company has grown into a mid-cap producer, developer and exploration company by merging with Sherwood Copper (Minto and Kutcho), acquiring Far West Mining (Santo Domingo) and developing the strategic partnership with Korea Resources Corporation.

Darren has over 20 years of experience in the management, development, administration and financing of public companies focusing on the resource sector.

Darren also serves as Chairman of the Board of Zena Capital Corp (TSX.V:ZCC) and as a director of Lithium One.

 
Gregg B. Bush
Position: Senior Vice President & COO

Gregg Bush is a Metallurgical Engineer with 30 years of experience in feasibility, mine development, operations, international M&A strategies, permitting, alternative infrastructure projects supporting mine development and project engineering. He is fluent in Spanish and has experience in operations based in Chile, USA, Mexico and Canada. Gregg is responsible for the operations of both the Cozamin and Minto mines as well as the development of organic growth opportunities for Capstone.

Gregg was most recently the COO of Minefinders Corporation Ltd. (2007-2010) where he helped developed its growth strategy and was responsible for the construction and commissioning of its first mine. From 1990-2007 he worked at Placer Dome and later Barrick, going from Plant Superintendent to Mine General Manager where his operation achieved certification under ISO 14001 in 2002. Twelve years of that time were spent in Chile, where he was the Mine General Manager of the Zaldivar Mine in northern Chile, a 320 million pound per year copper operation, and Operations Manager and Plant Superintendent of the La Coipa Project, a 100,000 tonne per day precious metals operation approximately 140 kilometers northwest of Copiapó.

Gregg started his career as a metallurgist with Chino Mines Company, a Division of Kennecott Copper. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso.

 
Richard R. Godfrey
Position: Senior Vice President & CFO

Richard Godfrey brings a wealth of experience to Capstone Mining. Richard started in the mining business in 1988 as mine site controller at the Faro and Sa Dena Hes zinc mines in Yukon and then moved to corporate controller with Royal Oak Mines. This was followed by VP Finance & CFO of Triton Mining and then as Financial Advisor to Ma'aden, the Saudi Arabian State Mining Company. In 2003, he became VP Finance & CFO of Breakwater Resources and subsequent to this, was appointed VP Finance for EuroZinc Mining, prior to its merger with Lundin Mining. He joined Sherwood Copper in 2007 as CFO and continued as Capstone's CFO upon the merger of Sherwood and Capstone in 2008.

 
Jay K. Grewal
Position: Sr. Vice President, Strategic and Corporate Development

Jay Grewal joined Capstone Mining Corp. in July 2011 and is responsible for leading the company's strategic and corporate development. Jay comes from a strong background focused on strategic planning, operational development and financial strategies.

Jay was most recently Managing Director for Accenture Inc.'s B.C. Practice and managed key segments of the Canadian Resources Practice. She was responsible for developing market strategies and managing key client relationships and operations in the Energy, Natural Resources, Chemicals and Utilities sectors. Jay also held a number of executive positions at BC Hydro, including CFO (acting), Chief Compliance Officer, and Director Business Development where she had responsibility for Strategic Planning, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Shared Services, IT, Transmission and Process Innovation. She also has been successful in leading the restructuring of a public company and has extensive experience within the finance sector as a Managing Director with a Private Equity Firm, and Executive Director with a Canadian Investment Bank, where she specialized in mining and forestry.

Jay is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, Canada with a B.A Honours, and also holds a M.B.A in Finance from the University of Western Ontario. She is active on a number of non-profit boards including a board member of the B.C Business Council, and the United Way Campaign Cabinet. She is a past member of the Board of Governors, University of British Columbia where she chaired the Finance Committee and past Chair, Energy Division of the B.C. Children's Hospital Miracle Network.

 
Brad J. Mercer
Position: Vice President, Exploration

Brad Mercer leads Capstone's exploration team, credited with discovering eight copper-gold deposits in five years at our Minto Mine, Yukon, Canada. The exploration team, under Brad's leadership, is currently continuing their success at the Cozamin Mine, in Mexico with the recent discovery of the Mala Noche Footwall Zone. Brad is also helping to advance Capstone's Kutcho project located in Northwest BC towards a production decision and overseeing exploration on the former Far West properties.

Brad graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1984 with a Bachelor of Earth Science. He is a Professional Geoscientist registered with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of the Northwest Territories. He is also a member of the board of directors of Northern Tiger Resources Inc. and Aurion Resources Limited.

For the past 27 years, Brad  has managed mineral exploration programs and participated in feasibility evaluations of mineral properties focused in the Americas taking him from Greenland to Patagonia and he has enjoyed success leading teams who have made discoveries in areas previously considered to be well explored. In addition to successes at our Minto and Cozamin mines Brad is credited with the discovery of the Moly Brook molybdenum deposit and the Unknown Brook gold deposit, located in Newfoundland, Canada.

 
Peter T. Hemstead
Position: Vice President, Marketing & Treasurer

Peter Hemstead joined Sherwood Copper in November 2006, as Treasurer, after 10 years of employment with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, in Toronto and Vancouver. At Sherwood, Peter was responsible for the company's treasury activities through the construction of the Minto Mine, subsequent mining operations, acquisition of Western Keltic Mines, and the merger with Capstone. Peter became VP, Marketing and Treasurer of Capstone where he is responsible for all banking and credit facility matters, funding and cash flow requirements, management of the Minto and Cozamin off-take sales and Silver Wheaton precious metals streams, refurbishment and operation of the Port of Skagway, all tax planning and compliance, the insurance program, and the hedging program.

 
John E. Sagman
Position: Vice President, Technical Services

John Sagman joined Capstone Mining Corp. in February 2010 as Manager of Projects leading feasibility studies regarding the implementation of underground mining at the Minto Mine in Yukon, the generation of a NI 43-101 compliant reserve at the Kutcho Copper Project in British Columbia and various operating initiatives at both the Cozamin and Minto mines.

John's prior experience includes 10 years with Vale Inco Ltd. at Thompson, Manitoba and managing the Totten Mine Project in Sudbury, Ontario. He has also worked for Xstrata Nickel for 10 years at the Raglan Mine and Sudbury where he managed various mine operations.  Previous to Xstrata Nickel, John worked for nine years with Placer Dome Inc. at the Gibraltar Open Pit Mine in British Columbia and Balmertown, Ontario where he managed the Reid Shaft project. John's background brings together a combination of engineering, underground and open pit operations, as well as project management experience. His primary focus is the continued success in the planning and execution of Capstone's capital projects, as well as enhancement of technical systems at the operating sites.

John is a 1981 graduate of the University of British Columbia, Canada, with a degree in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, and received his Project Management Professional designation in 2010. He is a Professional Engineer licensed with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

 
Jason P. Howe
Position: Vice President, Business Development

Jason Howe, a Chartered Accountant since 1999, has worked for the last seven years in the mining industry, and was previously Chief Financial Officer of Capstone Mining. Jason has spent the last 15 years in accounting and finance and before Capstone spent eight years in public practice, including four years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Jason was a co-founder of Silverstone Resources Corp. and formerly served as Silverstone's Chief Financial Officer before the company was acquired by Silver Wheaton in 2009.

 
Cindy L. Burnett
Position: Vice President, Investor Relations

Cindy Burnett is responsible for Capstone Mining's communication with the investment community. She has over 15 years of investor relations experience and has worked in the mining, energy and chemical industries. Cindy was most recently Vice President of Investor Relations at Western Lithium and prior to that was Vice President of Investor Relations at Skye Resources Inc. (which merged with HudBay Minerals Inc.). She previously was Vice President of Investor Relations at Ivanhoe Energy Inc. and prior to that spent over 25 years with NOVA Chemicals and the Alberta Gas Trunk Line Company in both Canada and the U.S. in a number of corporate roles, including investor relations, legal, securities and finance, media relations and public affairs.
